We aim to offer a quick response to Email enquiries, and endeavour to keep the availability as up to date as possible.
Making a booking
We suggest you make initial contact by Email or phone. Once availability is confirmed and your questions answered, then the booking can be secured by completion of the booking form and provision of a non-refundable £100 deposit. The rental charge is for the cottage, and is not dependent on the number of occupants. The full charge must be paid no less than 8 weeks before the start date of the booking. On receipt of the booking form and deposit, you will be sent booking confirmation by post.
Changeover
Bookings are made from Saturday – Saturday. The cottage is available from 4pm and needs to be vacated by 10am to allow time for cleaning. Please let us know if these times are a problem, and we will try to accommodate you.
Linen
All bed linen is provided. Tea towels and dishcloths are also provided. Please bring your own towels.
Disposables
To help reduce the amount of shopping you need to bring up the river, we provide basic cleaning products, washing up liquid, washing powder and conditioner, tissues, kitchen paper towels, cling film, foil, bin bags, your first two toilet rolls(!), salt, pepper and vinegar.
As our waste water goes into soakaways, we provide the Ecover range of products to limit the impact on the environment, and request that you try to use similar products during your stay.
Electricity
The cost of your electricity is included in your rental fee.
Pets
We do accept well-behaved pets, but please keep them out of the bedrooms for the sake of any future allergy sufferers. A small additional charge of £3 per pet per day is payable.
Smoking
For the benefit of others, we ask that guests do not smoke inside the house. Cigarettes are also a fire hazard in a wooden building.
