There are excellent fishing opportunities at Idleways with 120ft of riverbank in your garden to enjoy . The Upper Thurne is legendary. The relative peace here and quieter river traffic is ideal. With your home and comforts just behind you, you can fish all day and all night if you wish.

If you have hired a boat, then the whole Broads network is open to you, both to explore and to fish.

Roach, bream, tench, perch and rudd are all caught in quantity, and of course, record pike have been pulled from this water.

Just up the river at Potter Higham a large tackle and bait shop can be found at Lathams, so you will not run short of supplies. At Idleways, you have the use of a large tackle shed with sink and plenty of storage.
