Our Cottage

The cottages along the Thurne are of wooden construction. Idleways is one of the largest and was fully refurbished in 2005. We have mains water and electricity, so can offer all the usual creature comforts, but do remember, we are in the middle of a National Park, some way from civilisation, so this is a holiday for the adventurous!

Outside

The cottage has a large garden with 120ft of riverbank and plenty of mooring points. There is a decked area with a picnic bench and BBQ. A tackle shed is available for your use with a sink for dirty jobs. The shed also houses a washing machine (a rotary clothes line is provided).

Inside

There is a large living room with patio doors onto the deck, and a dining area, complete with TV, freeview, DVD player and electric fire. The kitchen has a cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, plenty of storage space and all basic equipment needed for eight. There is an iron with board and a vacuum cleaner in the airing cupboard. There is a smoke detector in situ and a fire extinguisher.

Idleways has three bedrooms. The master has a double bed and en-suite bathroom, with sink, wc, bath and shower cubicle. There is a smaller second double bedroom, and a children’s room with two sets of bunk beds. There is an additional shower room with sink, wc and shower cubicle.
